Course Description

The overall course itself will be a one year comprehensive training to help you lead a successful youth ministry today and in the future.  To really give justice to a full youth ministry college level program, students would need to devote at least three years of study to the subject.  Since many churches do not have this luxury, this CLI offering will focus on the following topics:

Section 1—Theology of Youth Ministry—Weekend Class

Section 2—Adolescent Development

Section 3—Models of Youth Ministry to Disciple and Evangelize.

Section 4—Programming to Build Disciples

Section 5—Programming for Retreats and Week Long Trips

Section 6—Counseling Youth - a combination of class time and Weekend Class

Section 7—Youth Ministry Administration

Section 8—Plan and Implement an Outreach Event

Section 9—Research Paper—A cumulative paper of what you have learned and a

three year plan for your youth ministry.—Weekend Follow-up

Section 10 - Field Placement/Internship - On going hands on ministry in the

local church.
